Pack responds well to Highlands front row, grabs sweep.

PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Sept. 23, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo improved to 3-1 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play Friday as it swept to a three-set win against New Mexico Highlands, 25-16, 25-17, 25-19.

CSU-Pueblo played well off of numerous rallies, digging back countless block attempts by the New Mexico Highlands front row, and luring the Cowgirls into attack errors and opening up their defense.

Alea Wildman (Sr., Denver, Colo.) led the charge for the Pack, pacing the team in kills with 10 without a committing a single error, hitting .625.  Angela McAdams (Jr., Jarrell, Tex.) was right behind, accumulating nine kills to two errors, hitting .538 and coming through with three big solo blocks.

As a team, the ThunderWolves hit .297.

The win marked the ThunderWolves' sixth straight over Highlands, dating back to 2008, and its ninth in its past 11.  Most importantly, it sets up a first place showdown Saturday afternoon with Western New Mexico, as both CSU-Pueblo and the Mustangs carry a 3-1 RMAC record into Saturday's match.
