Pack's lead in the West down to just one game.
PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Sept. 30, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo saw its four-match win streak end Friday in a crucial RMAC West Division battle with Adams State, losing in four sets, 25-16, 16-25, 25-23 and 25-21.
The ThunderWolves had trouble defending the Adams State attack for the early part of the match as the Grizzlies hit .355 on CSU-Pueblo in claiming a 25-16 win. But CSU-Pueblo found its blocking game in the second set as it out-hit Adams State .300 to .000 and evening up the match.
The rest of the match was virtually neck-and-neck throughout, but CSU-Pueblo was seemingly always a point or two behind. Bernadette Pitre (Sr., Clifton, Colo.) overcame a rough start to the match to turn in a match-high 14 kills while Alea Wildman (Sr., Denver, Colo.) hit .310 with 11 kills.
CSU-Pueblo, now at 9-6 overall and 5-2 in RMAC play, will begin a five-match road-trip next Friday when it travels to Fort Lewis.
