ThunderWolves fall victim to Fort Lewis rally

Pack senior Alea Wildman knocks a ball home against fifth-ranked Nebraska-Kearney, part of her 17-kill night.

DURANGO, Colo. ( - Oct. 7, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo couldn't hang on to a two sets to one lead at Fort Lewis Friday, falling in five sets to the Skyhawks, 25-23, 22-25, 16-25, 25-19, 15-12.

It was the ThunderWolves' fourth five-set match this season and second five-set loss.

CSU-Pueblo was able to shrug off a 25-23 loss in the first set with dominant second and third sets.  The Pack front row was on fire, as Bernadette Pitre (Sr., Clifton, Colo.) converted a combined eight kills to no errors in the second and third sets, while Alea Wildman (Sr., Denver, Colo.) and Angela McAdams (Jr., Jarrell, Tex.) added six and five kills, respectively, each without an error.

The leading attacker for the Pack was Wildman, who had one of her best collegiate days with 17 total kills to just one error.

CSU-Pueblo will continue its six-match road trip Saturday when it travels to Colorado Mesa.
