DENVER, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Oct. 14, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo fell for the second straight match Friday, losing in four sets to the 12th-ranked Metro State Roadrunners in Denver, 25-17, 25-13, 22-25, 25-11.
The loss drops the Pack to 10-9 overall and 6-5 in the RMAC.
CSU-Pueblo could only muster a .068 hit percentage against a Metro State defense that turned in 13 total blocks in the match, keeping the Pack at a stark disadvantage for much of the match.
Though the Pack was overrun in the first, second and fourth sets, losing by more than 10 points in two of the three sets, it was able to claim the win in the third set, 25-22. The Pack hit .265 in the set, getting six kills from Bernadette Pitre (Sr., Clifton, Colo.) and five from Alea Wildman (Sr., Denver, Colo.).
The ThunderWolves will try to close the weekend out with a win, facing Regis in Denver Saturday night.
