ThunderWolves continue to struggle against Christian

LAKEWOOD, Colo. ( - Oct. 6, 2012) - CSU-Pueblo suffered its fourth straight loss Saturday, falling in three sets to Colorado Christian, 25-17, 25-19, 25-16.

The ThunderWolves were sunk by big Colorado Christian rallies in each of the three sets, dooming the Pack's chances at victory.  In the first set, a neck-and-neck affair was turned on its ear after a 12-11 Pack lead was flushed by a 10-point Cougar advance, giving them the 21-12 lead and paving the way to a 25-17 first-set win.

In the second set, with the score tied at 16 apiece, Christian seized six of the next seven points to go up 22-16 and eventually win 25-19.

The third set also took the win out of the Pack's sails, as a 7-4 lead was crushed when the Cougars took nine of the next ten points to go up 13-8 en route to the 25-16 match-clinching win.

Overall, CSU-Pueblo hit just .057 in the match and was out-dug 37-25 as the Cougars found a lot of holes in the Pack defense during a .282 match.  No ThunderWolf registered more than six kills.

CSU-Pueblo will try to right the ship as it returns home next weekend for three matches against Regis, Metro State and UC-Colorado Springs.
