PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Nov. 9, 2012) - CSU-Pueblo couldn't keep up with RMAC foe Colorado Mesa Friday night, losing in three matches to the Mavericks, 25-18, 25-19, 25-19.
The ThunderWolves were victimized by the Mesa attack all night long, which preyed on the Pack back row to hit .276 against CSU-Pueblo. Four Mesa players had seven kills or more while four hit .300 or better.
CSU-Pueblo, which only led at sporadic points in the second set, showed some bright spots at times, but couldn't overcome six service errors and five reception errors in the match. Three ThunderWolves turned in nine or more kills, including Morgan Wilkening (Fr., Fleming, Colo.), who had nine kills to two errors in the match.
CSU-Pueblo, now at 14-15 for the season, has one chance to salvage a .500 record for the season when it hosts Fort Lewis in the season finale Saturday night.
