Pack volleyball splits a pair on final day of tournament play

PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Sept. 14, 2013) - CSU-Pueblo volleyball fell to Southwest Baptist before finishing with a win over William Jewell on Saturday in the second day of the CSU-Pueblo Ramada Classic at Massari Arena. 

The ThunderWolves forced Southwest Baptist (Mo.) into four sets before losing 26-24, 25-18, 20-25, 25-19 in the afternoon, but were able to turn things around in the evening match while making quick work of William Jewell in a 25-19, 25-16, 25-20 victory. 

CSU-Pueblo finished their home tournament with a 3-1 record, losing just four sets over their four matches on the weekend. 

Sierra Moran (Jr., San Diego, Calif.) contributed 17 kills on the day, while Alex Sansavera (So., San Antonio, Texas) kept several volleys alive with 28 total digs. 

The ThunderWolves, now 3-6 (3-1 at home) on the season, will begin conference play against Fort Lewis at Massari Arena on Friday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m.
