Pack suffers setback on the road to Adams State

ALAMOSA, Colo. ( - Sept. 27, 2013) - CSU-Pueblo suffered a letdown Friday night on the road, falling in three sets at Adams State.

A week after capturing an emotional win at home over then-RMAC-leading Colorado Mesa, CSU-Pueblo had trouble seizing opportunities as it allowed the Grizzlies to hit .330 as a team.  Defensively, in addition to back-row woes, the ThunderWolves saw its dominant blocking game dry up considerably.

CSU-Pueblo could only turn in six team blocks, and as a team, the ThunderWolves hit just .165.

Some of the few bright spots came from Brianna Bryant (Sr., Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.), who hit .278 with seven kills, but was neutralized completely on the block, and freshman Megan Schultz (Fr., Colorado Springs, Colo.), who came off the bench to hit .308 and turn in six kills.

CSU-Pueblo will travel to Western State Saturday night to take on the Mountaineers in attempts to improve to 3-1 in RMAC play.
