DENVER, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Oct. 18, 2013) - CSU-Pueblo lost in four sets to Regis Friday, losing 25-17, 24-26, 25-12, 25-13, dropping its fifth straight match.
CSU-Pueblo struggled to get off solid attacks all night long, resulting in a subpar .092 attack percentage compared to .248 by Regis. The Pack didn't have an answer for Regis' Gina Morgan, who finished the match with 13 kills to just one error, hitting a ridiculous .648 for the match.
The ThunderWolves were solid in its lone set win of the night, a 26-24 victory in the second set. The Pack hit .310 in the set, starting it off with a 9-1 advantage. However, Regis would battle back to tie the set at 22-22, but a block by Morgan Wilkening (So., Fleming, Colo.) and Brianna Bryant (Sr., Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) clinched the win for the Pack.
The ThunderWolves were led by Wilkening and Marissa Calvillo (So., Rio Rancho, N.M.), who each had 11 kills.
CSU-Pueblo will finish up its road weekend against UC-Colorado Springs Saturday night.
