GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Nov. 15, 2013) - CSU-Pueblo was in charge of its own destiny for a playoff berth entering play Friday night, but a Pack loss to Colorado Mesa combined with a Fort Lewis win was enough to keep the ThunderWolves out of the playoffs for a second straight year.
CSU-Pueblo lost in four to the Mavericks, 25-14, 25-17, 21-25, 25-23, narrowly missing out on a fifth and decisive set and a chance to stay alive.
The ThunderWolves struggled hitting the ball all match long, hitting just .014 against the Mavericks. While leading killer Megan Schultz (Fr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) hit a respectable .214 with a 10-kill effort, the rest of the ThunderWolves hit a combined -.051.
With the loss, CSU-Pueblo falls to 10-18 overall and 7-11 in RMAC play with one match remaining against Fort Lewis Saturday night.
