Errors pile up in Pack loss to Colorado Christian

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (October 24, 2015) – An abundance of errors and a lack of kills hindered the Colorado State University-Pueblo volleyball team in their 3-0 (15-25,13-25, 24-26) loss to Colorado Christian University Saturday night.  The Pack hit a season low .016 in the loss to the Cougars as they move to 7-14 (5-8 RMAC), while Colorado Christian improved to 11-12 (6-7 RMAC).

The ThunderWolves finished with a season-low 23 kills in the loss. Oni Lattin (Sr., Houston, Texas) and Megan Schultz (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) each finished with five kills to lead the Pack.

On the defensive side of the net, Mariangel Perez (Jr., Catia La Mar, Venezuela) recorded 16 digs. However, the Cougars defense limited Perez offensively to a season-low three kills.

Lattin recorded six blocks for the ThunderWolves, two of which were solos. The senior led the nation in total blocks (117) and ranked second in blocks/set (1.56) entering the weekend.

The ThunderWolves will try to redeem themselves when they return to Massari Arena Oct. 30 to battle Adams State University before hosting Fort Lewis College in a Halloween showdown.

Fans who dress in costume to celebrate Halloween with the Pack will receive free admission to the volleyball game. There will also be a Trick R' Treat street and an activity room for the kids, where the first 50 kids will get to decorate mini pumpkins. In addition, a costume contest will be held after the second set with the winner receiving a fabulous prize.
