COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (August 13, 2018) – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released its annual preseason coach's poll Monday and Colorado State University-Pueblo Volleyball was picked to finish 10th in the final RMAC standings.
The ThunderWolves finished 13th in the RMAC last season with a 3-15 conference record. Three starters return from last season's Pack team. Seven newcomers are expected to make a difference for CSU-Pueblo this season.
Pack Volleyball starts the season on the road Aug. 24-25 with four matches at the Washburn Tournament. The ThunderWolves will host their home opener Tuesday Aug. 28 at 1 p.m. when they welcome Angelo State University to Massari Arena.
CSU-Pueblo will begin RMAC play Friday Sept. 7 on the road at Colorado Mesa University. The Pack will play its first RMAC match at home Tuesday Sept. 11 against New Mexico Highlands University at 7 p.m. This match will also be the Pack's Military Appreciation Night game. All active duty military personnel and veterans will be admitted for free along with four guests.
The Pack's first home weekend will take place Sept. 14-15 when the ThunderWolves face South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and Black Hills State University, both at 7 p.m. Friday's match with the Hardrockers will be YMCA Night. All kids who wear their YMCA youth jerseys will receive free admission and YMCA members can purchase discounted tickets.
After two weeks on the road, the Pack will return home Oct. 5-6. The ThunderWolves will battle Steel & Silver Trophy rival University of Colorado Colorado Springs Friday Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. on Pack it with the Pack night. The Pack will clash with No. 20 Colorado School of Mines at 3 p.m. on Saturday Oct.6.
Fans will get their first look at the RMAC's newest member Dixie State University Friday Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. The Pack will then host its annual Think Pink Night presented by the Saint Mary Corwin Dorcy Cancer Center Saturday Oct. 20 against Westminster College at 7 p.m.
The Pack's final home weekend will be Oct. 26-27 when the ThunderWolves host Fort Lewis College and Adams State University. Saturday's match against the Grizzlies will be Senior Night and a Halloween celebration at Massari Arena. Any fan who wears a Halloween costume to this game will receive free admission.
