PUEBLO, Colo. (September 6, 2018) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Volleyball will begin Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play with a two-match road trip starting Friday at Colorado Mesa University at 7 p.m. and concluding Saturday at Western State Colorado University at 3 p.m.
The ThunderWolves enter RMAC play with a 2-7 record. They went 1-3 during the Hilltopper Classic last weekend, knocking off Purdue Northwest University.
Mallorie Post (So., Federal Way, Wash.) earned All-Tournament Team accolades at the Hilltopper Classic. Post hit .281 with 46 kills for the tournament. She averaged 2.88 kills per game in the Hilltopper Classic. Post has averaged 2.52 kills per set during the non-conference slate.
ShiAnn Rodriguez (R-So., Pueblo, Colo.) shined on Saturday with 39 digs in eight sets for an average of 3.88 digs per set. Rodriguez had a career- high 22 digs in the win over the Pride.
Page Heller (Jr., Vancouver, Wash.) ranks fifth in the RMAC with 4.88 digs per set. Heller set a career-high with 30 digs twice during the Hilltopper Classic.
Brooke Schilling (So., Platteville, Colo.) shares second place on the Pack with 2.52 kills per set. Schilling has delivered a team-high 12 aces.
Grace Miles (So., Parker, Colo.) knocked down a career-best 21 kills in the win over Purdue Northwest. Miles hit .311 for the match.
Freshman Grace Hern (Omaha, Neb.) achieved her first career double-double with 44 assists and 20 digs against Purdue Northwest. She is averaging 7.21 assists per set.
Scouting the Opponents:
The Mavericks enter RMAC play 5-3. They lead the all-time series with CSU-Pueblo 57-17.
The Mountaineers bring an 0-8 mark into RMAC. They are hitting a conference-worst .095 for the season. The Pack leads the all-time series 40-38.
