PUEBLO, Colo. (Sept. 19, 2014) – Both the men's and women's Colorado State University-Pueblo cross country teams will be in action Sept. 20, as the squads compete at the Colorado College Invitational in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The event is set to be held at the Monument Valley Park North beginning at 9 a.m. The race (four-kilometers for the women and eight-kilometers for the men) is set to take place at the same location as the UCCS Invite Sept. 13.
At the the race hosted by Univeristy of Coloraod, Colorado Springs, junior Dante Carter (Las Vegas, Nev.) posted a time of nineteen minutes and twelve seconds to win the event. On the women's side, freshmen Miriam Roberts (Boulder, Colo.) and Rachael Lopez (Fort Lupton, Colo.) finished second and fourth, respectfully. Roberts posted a time of 15:09, while Lopez crossed the finish line at 15:15.
The men finished thrid out of five teams and the women's posted a second-place finish out of four teams at the event.
